The history of the orange and its place in how it helped California grow is kind of incredible. Plus, oranges are orange and that is a really great color! There's a ton of vintage images (lots of girls posing with sculptures made from oranges), and fun ephemera in addition to the story.
Union Station celebrates its 75th Anniversary in May! Festivities Sat. May 3 from 10am to 4pm at the station (check metro.net for more info). There's going to be an exhibit in its honor at the Getty Galleries at LA Central Library, on view from May 2 to Aug. 10, 2014.
